EILEEN FISHER RENEW
Another “three-month stint” that turned into a lovely year of writing sustainably sophisticated emails, social ads, and site copy for the iconic designer EILEEN FISHER’s buy-back program, Renew.
One of the first green initiatives in fashion, this program is serious (and realistic) about what it takes to make the industry more circular and less wasteful. But, for a brand that’s still making new clothes, the main copywriting concern was: How do you talk about the secondhand version of the brand, without devaluing the current line? The answer, we found, was returning to the fact that these well-made, thoughtfully-sourced designs are timeless and last for years, even generations. And appealing to those who prefer the thrill of a thrift-shop find to the luxe joy of buying brand-new.
